I am so much pickier about the narrators for fiction books than non-fiction. A big part of why I mostly only listen to non-fiction. Also why I need the Vorkosigan books to get the Discworld treatment with famous actors reading them.

The basil is doing well. Yay! Repotted each and I think they’re about twice as tall as on 9/14. Should get a few cilantros too. I think first will be a pizza & then after they settle in and grow some more (like in another month), pesto & fresh pasta.

Two small basil plants on Sept. 14. About 4-6” tall.

Upside of the break is I actually got a cleaning cloth from the pile and will clean the dirty spots from our hands & Georgie’s marking it did of the storm door. I’ve thought “I should take care of that” for weeks but not actually done it.

Plan to just chore my way to 45 exercise minutes is coming right along. Had to break from sweeping acorns. The latest outdoor broom has a fiberglass handle which is supposed to last longer in the elements, but it’s a _lot_ heavier. Magnifies the parts of sweeping that hurt my back.

Right shoulder is still pretty sore (time for more naproxen). I think I’m not going to do laps & am 100% not up for the elliptical. Maybe if I do enough small chores over the day I can cobble together enough of what Apple thinks are exercise minutes. Like, gotta sweep up more 🤬🤬🤬 acorns for example.

Two weeks in a row of Leopold gaining and being juuuuust barely over 10 pounds! Woohoo! Target weight has been 11 pounds, but in like 2 years of conscious effort & weigh ins, we’ve never gotten anywhere near there. Maybe it’s possible. Probably not, but I dream anyway.

Due to Sweetie’s love of bleach / disregard for her own safety and the intensity of the RMR, I’ve had to close off the bedroom while it does its thing & the open window & ceiling fan on high disperse the fumes (I hope). Sweetie is Not Pleased.

RMR sprayed around the bathtub, bird baths bleached, washed and refilled, two feeders taken apart and washed even tho I just did them. I should get too little sleep more often. Back to regularly assigned chores now.

Mixed bag that the older I get, the less I can sleep in. Apple Watch does _not_ approve of last night’s sleep & I will def be napping later. OTOH, I don’t have a bunch of morning chore todo items building up bc I’m asleep. Worth it for last night’s game tho.
