If you want to know who took your money, it's the people with all the money.

And if they can talk you into believing anyone else is to blame, they will keep picking your pockets and purchasing themselves politicians and getting away with it.
We can't fall into right-wing populism’s lie that the most vulnerable in society are to blame for wealth inequality in our countries. We need to build movements that tell the truth: the story of wealth inequality is not a cultural one, but a class one.

No Money for Murder. No Funding for Fascism. No Payouts for Pedophiles.
A child dying of cancer spent her final days fighting to free her wrongfully detained father from ICE custody.

This comes just weeks after a mother from Maryland was denied the right to be at her son’s side as he died from cancer.

Not one dime for this cruelty.

Last July, I wrote a follow up to "Fascism and the English Language" specifically covering immigrant rights language. Concentration camps was correct then & is now. So too is not using "immigration" as qualifier for acts that are crimes.

Once again, authoritarians have one story they just keep peddling: we are the only force that will protect you from "those people" who have taken over & are the reason you suffer.
It *literally* does.

Thats what it is. A document which says youre British.

There is a direct line between refusing to make the argument that immigrants are good and the proliferation of concentration camps where children are now sick and dying. When we do not assert the unequivocal humanity of all we enable the dehumanization of those authoritarians need as villains.

Reactionary centrist advice to Democrats boils down to one thing: avoid making the argument, about anything. Don't defend what was known as "the a-word" (abortion), promise to also "get tough on crime" aka don't speak out on injustice, hop on board xenophobic policies & rhetoric (Laken Riley).

Here's the thing: This was true in 2024. In the very same surveys where media shouted from rooftops that majorities supported "mass deportation" MORE people supported having people stay. But the latter didn't merit airtime. Chart credit: @mikepod.bsky.social

Nuremberg Trials.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

If Dems made demand to get all kids & their caretakers out of concentration camps, grinding all Congressional business to halt plus using their massive texting lists to organize caravans to create Occupy Dilly encampment, I would give them every dollar I have. And so would many.

Dems have spent decades making their electoral task harder, helping make voters more right wing by either being silent on or actually feeding xenophobic, racist, sexist, etc views - purportedly in service of...getting elected. Elected in order to what?

This DFP finding is also critical: We find that seeing potential personal impact is also a vital predictor of willingness to take direct action, beyond just voting.
A majority of voters (60%) — including 76% of Democrats, 62% of Independents, and 41% of Republicans — think “what's happening in politics today could lead to severe harms to my family, community, and the country that can't be undone.”
February 13, 2026 at 6:29 PM
Thank you to our incredible partners at DFP who live up to their name and purpose. Moving people on "is it fascism" matters bc we find it correlates to people's desire to be ACTIVATED in non-violent direct action, the necessary condition to bring down pillars that prop authoritarian regime.
NEW w/ @tarabuss.bsky.social and @anatosaurus.bsky.social: Last April, 50% of voters believed that “the Trump administration has completely broken from previous standards and is operating more like a fascist regime.”

Today, that number is 58%.

Media challenge: Stop using the word "immigration" in phrases about abduction, assault, murder, and so on. Immigration means the movement of people into a country for purposes of residency. What's being "enforced" here is terror & crimes against humanity.

Handily disproving white supremacy.
Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.
