Read about Pata Rat, a landfill near the “5 star city” or Cluj in Romania. Currently around 1500 Roma live here. And some of them were forcefully evicted from the city in 2010! The only community moved by force to live in a landfill inside the European Union!

The reason the Romani in Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, and Serbia, are so poor and have problems of organised crime, is because the communists rounded them up and stuffed them into neglected ghetto communities. In those awful places, crime was sometimes the only way to survive.
