I have to commend Morris for how well he utilizes the setting. Where I live, it’s fucking freezing right now, & Morris didn’t help—every second of this book, Morris reminds you of how the cold is just as dangerous as any cannibal. I was shivering at points, the kind of cold that numbs your bones.

Ezra is dating his cameraman Stu in secret, because the Network would never approve. Ezra craves power and prestige because they would allow a public relationship with the man he loves. I was rooting for Stu and Ezra, hard. (THEY DESERVE TO BE HAPPY DAMMIT!) I was surprised by how invested I was.
