Love when people send me pics of my book in the wild (this is Foyles in London). This might be a little too wild, however.

If you'd like to read a review of my book where I am accused of holding "petty-bourgeois political sensibilities" (yes you read that correctly)--well, then, do I ever have a review for you!

Two new books on Marx and Marxism
What both books avoid is precisely what Marx insisted upon: that the liberation of humanity requires the political independence of the working class and the revolutionary overthrow of capitalism.

One of my fave things to do while traveling is see which authors who’ve been on the pod are stocked at bookstores and look who’s in Edinburgh!

As a young man, Karl Marx applied for permission to emigrate to Texas but changed his mind. Yet Robin Blackburn writes that even without having come to the United States, Marx's influence and that of his followers is hard to deny. www.thenation.com/article/soci...

Even the chroniclers of the Roaring '20s found something in Marx, writes Robin Blackburn. F. Scott Fitzgerald insisted to his daughter that she read “the terrible chapter in 'Das Kapital' on the Working Day, and see if you are ever quite the same.” www.thenation.com/article/soci...

What's happening in Chicago is not normal.

The arrest of Alderperson Fuentes is just the latest example of how far Noem and Bovino are willing to go to ignore the rule of law. We must all speak up.
