1929 - Women are recognized as persons and allowed to vote, FINALLY.

1982 Indigenous people recognized and allowed to vote!!!! FINALLY .

Persons Day, celebrated on October 18 in Canada, honors the 1929 decision that recognized women as "persons" under the law. Led by the Famous Five, this milestone marked a turning point in the fight for gender equality and women's rights in Canada.

Great idea, not just petitions and writing in to CBC, but write in to CRTC!!
I’ve complained to the CRTC. Canadian airwaves should not be used to collaborate with a state funded foreign adversary.

Because I feel like triggering the trolls today, I want to remind everyone that Canadians have received over ONE HUNDRED MILLION COVID vaccine doses.

Only 0.056% resulted in an adverse event report. Four deaths resulted, but ZERO were due to mRNA.

What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?

Even doctors are stunned when I tell them Ontario has no billing code for pelvic exams.

That means that when a pelvic exam is done in an ER or a family doc's office, the extra time is usually a financial penalty.

What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?

ERs arent busy bc of people with low acuity problems that "dont need to be there"

ERs are crowded bc of sick patients waiting for beds upstairs in a (~full) hospital

figuring out who does vs doesnt "need to be there" doesnt work anyway
What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?

You absolutely can lie via data & math & everything about how you present data is an argument for how to interpret/understand it

Everything we know is founded on best guesses & analogies

The entire Canadian media has been implying or outright stating that immigration levels are responsible for housing prices and the shortage of health care professionals. They never push back & say "actually domestic speculators account for 30% of home purchases & immigrants deliver your health care"
