I do not donate to individuals.

This does nothing to change the systems responsible for oppression, and misalocates resources to the connected and away from the powerless.

My efforts and funds are directed to fighting oppression so that there are no victims who need help in the first place.

Thing is, he was already a demented moron last time he was elected, and people elected him again anyhow, so these facts are old, old news at this point.

You just keep believing that. It'll help when the strategy of not being quite as bad as the other guy keeps failing.

There isn't a single Jewish ethnically-based party that currently opposes the genocide in any practical sense.

One doesn't need to see any opinion polls. Israel's elections show us everything we need to know.
angorafish.bsky.social
I'm pretty sure that we can believe the polls carried out for Israeli newspapers.

They occasionally come up with similar bullshit, but tomorrow it'll be just another editorial about how "bothsides" need to compromise by giving the right 50% of what they want, again.

Nothing happened, it's just plausible deniability and business as usual.

Nothing will happen. He's a convicted rapist. The fact that the left has become so obsessed with this is pure copium.

The ABC can't report that water is wet anymore without quoting an expert, because facts are just alternative opinions nowadays.

Reasonable, since it's obviously the dog's couch.

It's because you have to click through to see replies from people you're not following, and most people are only doomscrolling while hitting like on posts they agree with.

There are a lot of inauthentic followers though, and I have been purging the obvious ones, but its hard to keep on top of.

"Palestinians have very long experience not only of Israel breaking ceasefires but also of using phased agreements to entrench their expansionist agenda"

Once the cheering stops and the hostages are returned Israel will resume the genocide due to unspecified 'ceasefire violations'.

ILLINOIS Candidate for Congress @abugai.bsky.social : “You said Prizker & Johnson need a history lesson - I’d like to give you one: when masked men are kidnapping entire families, naked, zip-tying their hands and throwing them into U-haul trucks… they’re usually not the good guys.”

Even after being found guilty of 'officer misconduct' for mishandling the Robodebt referral, Commissioner of the NACC continues consultancy role despite concerns of perceived conflicts of interest.

At $820k/year surely he can focus on doing one job well?

No. The rusties have convinced themselves that better things are not possible. The cartel party that they support, however, likes it this way.

Mostly in the US the fed has more resources, and so if there is split jurisdiction they'll often take on high profile local cases, often on contrived grounds (eg murder can be a human rights violaton), however US states almost always have primary jurisdiction, the same as in Australia.

The ALP have been refusing to do anything without permission from the Coalition for the best part of two decades now.

They're not interested in hiding it because intimidation is the point.

The jury remains out on whether this ends up being a 'smart' strategy, but while the Democrats poll numbers are in the toilet it doesn't much matter.

Honestly, there's a point at which one has to accept that it's not that they're bad at politics, this is what they actually believe.
angorafish.bsky.social
Actually, it's the "including the enforcement of federal law" part that should be of most concern here.
