This does nothing to change the systems responsible for oppression, and misalocates resources to the connected and away from the powerless.

My efforts and funds are directed to fighting oppression so that there are no victims who need help in the first place.

There isn't a single Jewish ethnically-based party that currently opposes the genocide in any practical sense.

One doesn't need to see any opinion polls. Israel's elections show us everything we need to know.

They occasionally come up with similar bullshit, but tomorrow it'll be just another editorial about how "bothsides" need to compromise by giving the right 50% of what they want, again.

Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.

It's because you have to click through to see replies from people you're not following, and most people are only doomscrolling while hitting like on posts they agree with.

There are a lot of inauthentic followers though, and I have been purging the obvious ones, but its hard to keep on top of.

Mostly in the US the fed has more resources, and so if there is split jurisdiction they'll often take on high profile local cases, often on contrived grounds (eg murder can be a human rights violaton), however US states almost always have primary jurisdiction, the same as in Australia.
