I just started sobbing, thinking about the events at Bondi. I don’t want to believe that this could happen here. I thought our gun laws would keep us safe. That our multiculturalism was strong.
My Jewish friend was on his way there when he changed his mind and went to Bronte beach instead.

Today I learned about some NZ women who made up a chic, feminist and artistic alternative to Mrs Claus named Aunty Juanita. She brought presents and taught about self care.
