Got out of my not-so-warm house to take some photos of the huge #fire on my street a block from my house. Thank you to all the firefighters out there on this frigid #STL day. photos.app.goo.gl/q44ECM37bxsL...

Do writer’s not have decent proofreaders these days? Just started a new book and in the first 3 pages there are words missing or extra words included. Is it just the digitization process for ebooks? Or has publishing slipped in its attention to detail and quality?

I like how a local library is thinking about the upcoming snowmaggedon.

STL is going to have 1 night of pretty cold temps. The weather people are making it out to be this incredible winter event. And that we MUST have their app to be prepared. Guess what? We don’t need it and we will all survive sleeping through the cold.

WTF. Not again. Everybody call your Reps today!
Congress is moving to strip protections from 225,000 acres near the BWCA.

MN Rep. Stauber introduced H.J. Res. 140, a giveaway to Chilean mining company Antofagasta that puts toxic mining next to our cleanest water.

We have 60 days. Contact Congress & vote NO: www.friends-bwca.org/get-involved...

The “Eighth of January” was written to celebrate the American victory over the British in the Battle of New Orleans in 1815. Have a listen to brighten up your current January 8th.

Come on Spelling Bee, people who play this game know the word Abattoir. After a year and a half, you should have figured this out!
Abattoir is a word, Spelling Bee! Should be in the word list today.

It’s the UN. They might ‘denounce’ what the US did but they won’t take serious action.
At Colombia’s request and with support from China and Russia, the U.N. Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on U.S. operations in Venezuela on Monday at 10 a.m. The move comes after Venezuela’s ambassador said the country had an "inherent right to self-defense." - AP

I checked in with my Venezuelan friends this morning and they firmly believe this development is a good thing and they are hoping for a peaceful transition of power in their country…

Beginning this Wednesday, December 24, the USPS will show the date your envelope is 1st processed by an automated USPS sorting machine, which might be later than the day you mailed it. This change means that First Class mail items might end up being postmarked a day or more after sent.

Christmas will always remind me of my dad; he loved this holiday. But Andy Williams singing Christmas Carols is 100% my mom.

I am ambivalent, it isn’t a religious holiday for me and there aren’t any kids in our family anymore who find excitement in presents. But I do love Christmas carols.

It’s a sad state in our country when I hear news that the potential Brown killer was found dead by suicide, that he was an immigrant, and that it was the federal authorities who found him, and my first thought is “Was this a setup of a guy to support this administrations hatred of immigrants?’

Local news anchor better hope that no little kids were up watching the news when he said, during a piece about Santa visiting Children’s Hospital, that Santa himself just had heart surgery at the area hospital. 😳

Though not a grandma, I sure felt like one just now when I put a dress on that I haven’t worn since last winter, (probably to the theater), slipped my hand into the pocket and thought “what is this lump?”. Flip the pocket inside out and its an unwrapped Starlight Mint stuck in the fabric! #IAmOld
