Probably mostly that last thing lol. It feels like they're set on making games that look new but are also so bland they couldn't possibly cause any complaints from parents, so they won't ever question buying their kids the new game for xmas/birthdays etc. Disappointing but not surprising at all

i'm just... i'm just so happy that for the first time a digimon game is getting a better critical response than a pokemon one. i know it's silly to care about a rivalry but the 5-year-old in my heart is delighted.

Digimon deserves its time in the spotlight, I haven't played the new one but i played a few of the old Digimon World games in my 20s and they were great, i would have enjoyed them just as much as Pokemon if I'd had access to them as a kid

Imo it's better than SV but definitely not as as good as Legends Arceus. The battles feel different from both, they're not turn based which i dont mind bc it makes grinding less boring. Overall it feels like another open world collectathon with Pokemon, if you can enjoy that then you'll prob like it
