It turns out a lot of sugar can keep you awake. Even if you want to sleep, it’s just not a thing.

Who would have thought Amazon’s stock price would be up this morning?

Hell I’d settle for going back to video games I could own a copy of instead of the current “lease until we shutdown the authentication servers” model.

For those of us who played horizon forbidden west, this hits on a very deep level.
Tech Bros building bunkers isn’t because they know something we don’t.
It’s because they are like Pharaohs. Their money disconnects them from humanity and they interpret that as being godlike. They think that if they build something strong enough, they can survive something universally human. Dying.

That feeling when you’re dyslexic and your feed is so full of politics today that you initially mistake a football reference for a SCOTUS opinion.
That line judge should be shot into the sun. There is no way that is forward progress

Apparently some sysadmins prefer their Linux in-bread.
this is all you need to run linux 🐧 and the best thing is it will not spy on you or steal your private data to train someone else’s shity AI 🤖

Shout out to those of us who are old enough to remember the first Ted talk. It was most excellent, and the biggest detractor was all… Bogus

It’s illogical to me that people get so upset about quote posting here. Since this server lets folks not display reposting, the only way folks who do that will see something I want them to see if I quote post it. I am not going for likes. (Does anyone on this platform is actually make money off it?)

Anybody that says Sony is the worst at the walled garden bull crap has never spent days of their lives trying to connect a PlayStation controller to Windows, only to give up an order a $50 Xbox controller and have it just natively work for everything on windows.

Scam calls always spike in the fall. Remember, legitimate callers won't:

-Threaten to report you to law enforcement
-Get defensive about the call's legitimacy
-Hang up when you ask for a supervisor
-Ask for your SSN

If you EVER don't like the vibe, just bail. If it's real, they'll call back.

Yeah. For example, we can actually buy and own a copy rather than rent it until the authentication server gets shutdown.
I think a reason exists that so many video games we play these days were released between 2006 and 2016

Fun fact: Dwight Schultz was worried about performing up to the level of his coworkers, but was comfortable just portraying crazy. There’s always a way to rise above your insecurities. #ateam #murdoch

It just occurred to me that we call certain time keeping devices a “watch” because they tell the time. Like an old night watchman.

If you assume that 75 to 95% of outrage in social media is propaganda from a country that has an interest in you being outraged, you’re probably not that far off. Especially now that the US government has fired everybody who was a check and/or balance in that respect.

Normally, I hate being called into last-minute Friday afternoon meetings, but this time somebody found a way to give my department a few million dollars, so now I’m conflicted about any future afternoon meetings on Friday.
