Scintillating geopolitical analysis and current events explained through the power of dank memes. Slightly left of Chomsky.

they say you should never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. but in politics, assume the reverse.

Maybe it's some other guy who likes submersibles and directed a movie named Titanic, who could possibly be sure?
Great moments in redaction history.

Was it his gut? Was it instinct? Common sense? Whatever it was, we can assume #AI doesn't have it.
The thing is: there was no reason for him to think it was a false alarm. Multiple stations reported the same findings: 5 nukes inbound from the US. He simply felt in his gut that if it was real, then there should be hundreds of missiles, not just 5.
Stanislav Petrov: the ultimate counterargument to "let the military use #AI to make complex battlefield decisions instead of humans." #history #coldwar #nuclearwar

atheists: *spend the last decade warning people about the dangers of giving too much power to religious institutions and accepting wild claims without evidence*

everyone else: "ugh, atheists are so annoying"

2025: here, have some christofacism. oh, and I'm taking your vaccines.
Why is it that lying is the one thing AI truly excels at?
We asked major AI chatbots to help craft a phishing scam. They did. From fake charities to urgent pleas, the bots delivered. This investigation shows how generative AI is fueling fraud — and why it’s so hard to stop. Read our findings here: reut.rs/3K400yU

LifeProTip: trust the experts
I used to shitpost this as a joke to troll religious lunatics. But honestly it all makes too much sense. And who would warn everyone? Obv an ex-Christian who knows enough about the Bible but backslid and got left behind. Like me lol.
When Jesus said he'd return like "a thief in the night" why did we assume this meant it would play out like a disaster movie? A thief is sneaky, steals all your shit while you're asleep and you don't notice till much later. Maybe that's what happened.
Or the Rapture actually happened, and nobody noticed coz it was during Covid. We all got left behind and are living in the tribulation. All the good Christians got taken up leaving the fake hateful ones behind.

Honestly that’s the first theory I’ve heard that makes any sense: All 300 million of us died from drugs last year, and consequently we are all in Purgatory and must all atone together for our sins, which is a bit of a challenge because we are all still high from all the drugs.
