It’s real! Someone really published my mother/daughter/divorce/moody teen/crystal lady story!
Feel like I can see evidence of editors being downsized by the increasing number of basic errors in the latter halves of books. And those are much more obvious than the decrease in developmental edits.

Just incredibly, unnecessarily cruel. And I’d be shocked if there wasn’t wanton corruption going on here, too.

Honestly? Growing up in rural Nebraska in the 90s was kind of like this. These guys have some extra years deep study—disturbing they all have the context to be amused by 1488—but the epithets? The hatred? Middle-schoolers talked like that there.

Ah yes, they’re saving that final resolution just in case a Democrat is ever allowed back into the presidency, then the constitution will suddenly exist again. Until then they’re going to see what it’s like without one.

This seems true, but it has pretty dark implications, because the consistent historical trend is for radicals of this sort, when stymied, to ramp up the violence in an effort to break through.
I think some folks are expecting a 'soft' Hungary-style tyranny and I don't think that's in the cards.

What he’s railing against is a profound shift in culture, status… He’s obsessed with the idea that America is controlled by a leftist “ruling elite” - but “elite” isn’t defined socio-economically or by political power, it means something like: Getting to define “real America” and who gets to belong.
