I should clarify that I'm not against people taking inspiration from it, nor am I saying that no independent artists have made anything beautiful through doing so. But I do think we should be a bit more critical of narratives romanticizing the 90s-2000s internet.

Does anyone know of a good alternative to this labeler? I just realized they've been inactive for almost a year.
Just shut down: I am very reluctant to do this, since I think it provides a massive user benefit to having around (& again, am sorry that I haven’t been able to fully keep up with the reports). The costs for hosting are minimal ($15 a month or so) so will probably not seriously consider this.
