I'm so glad I decided to stay up all night for this suprise! Females taking the lead was the perfect touch. This whole benefit concert gave me hope in our current climate.

I think it likely that consciousness emerges from the brain's attempt to anticipate and respond to the external world in a timely manner. We don't see the world, we dream it. Then, absent neurological disorder, we fit that dream to sensory information.
