Who does he think he is?

Napoleon Dynamite at a packed theater in a tiny Colorado mountain town where nobody had a clue what they were about to experience.

Also taking my bud to see Brick at The New Beverly Cinema a couple years ago for his first time seeing it. We got too stoned in the alley before it started. 10/10
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

I’ll always remember that I got a big group of friends kicked out of Independence Day at the very beginning of the movie. When they first showed the alien ship approaching earth I said a little to loud in a perfect Picard imitation “Captain’s Log, stardate 48861.9…”

We got our 5 bucks back though.
“28 Days Later” because I was trying to see something else but ended up at a movie I hadn’t heard of because of a power outage due to flooding.

Also “Independence Day”. It’s hard to describe the anticipation for that movie if you weren’t there. A+ marketing campaign.

Had another dream adjacent to this, but it was about not remembering where I parked my sweet 90s Land Cruiser in a massive mall parking lot. Also I could not find my pants. There was a super Mario land candy store but it was out of candy and only sold hostess donettes.
Had a dream last night that my car got towed, a fear I developed after decades of city living. That immediate feeling when you go to where you know you parked and there’s another car, or nothing there, really fucks with your brain and cracks your reality.

I need a Gilmore Girls supercut that is just all of the Luke’s Diner scenes as a sitcom with a laugh track. It’s called Kirk.

All my KC fan buds are going through it after that loss last night. They genuinely still believed they’d win the Super Bowl this year. An impressive amount of delusion.

But then again they’ve convinced themselves the tomahawk chop isn’t racist so delusion is kind of their thing.

Started my end of year listen through of my playlist of albums released in 2025. It’s around 148 albums so far.

Let me know your favorite records released this year so I can add them and have a listening party.

My wife, sitting on the couch next to me, text me a photo of our cat, who is sitting on her lap, on the couch next to me, so I could see “how cute his face is from my perspective.”

And goddamnit it was way cuter.

Helluva a lineup for $11

“Papaya Rules” could absolutely be a song by Tilly and the Wall.
It’s becoming important to me that Red Bull beat McLaren to the WDC as a condemnation of twee motor racing philosophies

I bought this book a month ago. Every morning I plop down with my coffee on the couch next to it on the end table, but can’t quite pick it up… yet.

Maybe tomorrow will be the day.

Home Depot is delivering a truck load of roofing material tomorrow and gave me the very helpful delivery window of 6 AM - 8 PM.

After 10 years of garbage Broncos football I’m not mentally in good enough shape for this season of nonstop intensely close games.

It’s too much.

Fucking love it though.

This might be the first SNF Broncos game without a QB Carousel graphic. I kinda miss her. They should roll the footage for old times sake

Had all intention of cooking this steak with a reverse sear but wasn’t really thinking and somehow did a reverse-reverse sear

KC fans so excited, they haven’t got to do their racist little chant in a while.

My wife just described Debbii Dawson’s music as “depression disco” and like… ok. I’m in. Crank that shit up.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

The all-timer of perfect albums.

Holy hell you guys. Feel like I could drink a thousand beers.

Fuck. The. Chiefs.

Stacked a full cord of wood this morning to work out some nervous angst about this Broncos game. Not sure if it helped. FUKC
