You need to know the fact you feel "fake" after a lifetime of trying to gain approval or safety by "performing" for others isn't evidence that there's no authentic "you." It's evidence you never had the support or safety to explore & connect w/ the real you. But you ARE in there.

I tried very hard to remember that people are going to do what they are going to do. All jealousy or paranoia contribute is pain for yourself. If someone is going to hurt you, someone you care about, there’s not much you can do to stop it trying to predict it is just gonna make you miserable.
