folks, as a highlander originally I am very concerned by the lack of attention on national news in the UK to the snow situation: it is severe, prolonged, & affecting all services. many communities are snowed in. several main routes are blocked. this ought to be national news.

Got to hold a *five day old* baby today, and it was glorious. I do think we should have evolved a pouch, though, because at 5 days he didn’t really look ready to be in the world.

Whilst I have no doubt that misophonia is real, after having had a partner who used it as part of an abuse tactic for seven years, until I became *afraid to chew*, I do think it is the responsibility of the sufferer to learn how to handle it, not for everyone else to… stop eating for them.

The answer is that puppy classes should be free, frequent and accessible. We have an excellently trained dog: the reason for this is we spent a lot of time and money - and still do! - on his training, enrichment and development.
Think one of the next big fronts in the culture wars will be between dog owners and people who really dislike dogs
