Trump won’t be around for much longer and he’ll never really have to answer for himself. But his enablers, especially the younger ones, will carry the shame with them for the many remaining decades of their lives.

The Heritage Foundation is going after me this morning calling me a terrorist because I am accurately stating what they are intending to do. Michael Knowles at CPAC explicitly called for the "eradication of transgenderism."

Let’s not do Trump’s work for him by obeying in advance and policing ourselves. If he’s going to try to repress us, he should have to work for it
The federal government has a lot of power and has been able to enact state violence on marginalized groups like immigrants, so there are some pathways that MAGA can already take advantage of. But they don’t have a turnkey repressive apparatus at scale to discipline the population.

Perhaps Trump is lashing out from a position of desperation. His approval ratings are at a historic low and he lacks the mandate for these outlandish policies. He only has power if we give it to him - so don't! Show up, protest, resist. All dictatorships come to end eventually. This one will too.

I still stand by this thread I posted in March
1/ I refuse to normalize the rise of fascism in this country. When friends, acquaintances, and co-workers ask me how I’m doing, I break an unwritten rule of social interaction and I tell them what is happening and how I feel about it.
