I love its flowing nature and the fact the sounds are not entirely decided. Is it a be or bi? A bo or bu? Some find that part of the script makes it ‘unusable’ or even useless— but the people before us saw a reason to communicate thoughts and ideas with it. I think there is a beauty in ambiguity.

just want to do a lil rec for you guys, but like, satoko and nada is a wonderful manga, got the first 2 french volumes and i find it very funny, and also eye opening on muslim cultures and japanese expatriates too. it is co written by an egyptian muslim woman too, which is great ❤️ a bit yuriful too
