PANEL 1: May flops to the couch and assures Lynx, "Besides, it's only for a day! We'll barely notice time passing by here."

PANEL 2: Four hours later, May has become frustrated. "There's nothing to do here and I'm in pain," she complains.

PANEL 3: "The cell's weak, the wi-fi's down, the VHS tapes are broken, there's nothing outside and the stupid floor keeps making me slip," she elaborates. "The only thing working's the damn shower." Lynx is lying down on the bed near her. "That's what we came for, though," he reminds her. "But yeah, this was a bad idea after--"

PANEL 4: He stops himself, getting an idea that puts a mischievous smile on his face.

PANEL 5: "On second thought, you were right. I'm having a LOVELY TIME," he says with a sarcastic pang.

PANEL 1: Lynx prepares to unlock the door to the Bean as behind him, May cheerfully sings, "We're staying in the Bean, babyyy!"

PANEL 2: "At least they keep the insides normal," remarks Lynx, opening the door to an old school looking interior.

PANEL 3: "Apart from, like," he continues while noticing the floor, "the slick, sloped, flooring..." He can see his own reflection from it. "That makes it more clean!" May reassures.

PANEL 4: He then checks the walls. There are no windows. "...and you can't see outside..." He adds. "Sleeping in total darkness is better for you, I heard," she reassures again.

PANEL 5: Growing more suspicious, Lynx muttered, "Those interior photos are real SELECTIVE..." Meanwhile, May grabs a remote and turns on the TV. "Oh, neat, a working tube TV."

PANEL 6: "Okay, stop with the excuses," Lynx disapproves, "We're in a serial killer's den." May, inspecting the TV, is unfazed. "Maybe, but you gotta admit that they know their decor."

it is interesting to me... that we have observed in the span of two weeks the remembrances of two lives

PANEL 1: Title card on black. "Another Comic About Cats." Subtitle, "B&B."

PANEL 2: Lynx turns the faucet on. "Yeah. No water," he says.

PANEL 3: Both him and May are sweating a lot. "Mr. Dziedzic said that it’ll take all day to fix," he reads out from his phone. "Wish James isn't in Joliet right now," May adds. "This heat is making me sticky."

PANEL 4: She pulls out her own phone and shows him a home renting app. "Well, let's see what's available to rent."

PANEL 5: "Ooh, ooh, this one looks cute!" She exclaims. Lynx gets closer and asks, "Hang on, there's no exterior photo?"

PANEL 6: He warns her, "This could be in a rough neighborhood, May." She shows him the place and urges him, "C'mon, man, look at how low the nightly rate is!"

PANEL 7: May puts on pleading eyes. "Pleaaase...?" Lynx is uncomfortable. "Ugh, goddamn, FINE," he caves.

PANEL 8: He leaves the bathroom. "I'm gonna start packing to forget that you did that." May, proud of her mind game, says, "You'll be thanking me once we have a nice time there."

PANEL 1: Lynx and May are standing in the middle of a field. They look at where they're staying with confusion and delight, respectively.

PANEL 2: The place turns out to look like the Chicago Bean, down to how reflective it is. There are tiling beneath it, as well as a generator and water tank beside.

PANEL 3: Lynx checks the listing on the phone again. "...what?" May is just excited about this.

PANEL 3: We see her letterboxd review for El Mujer, which she gives 1 star. The review says, "don't bother turning off your brain, it's impossible to enjoy".

PANEL 4: She puts the phone away and looks to the distance, still annoyed.

PANEL 5: Suddenly, the lyrics "boobs from moobs, moobs to boobs, boobs to moobs, moobs to boobs" pops to her mind, surprising her.

PANEL 2: "Morning. If Marek is here, hide me in storage," she greets the other teachers, who are discussing something. One of them, Sabine, notices her.

PANEL 3: "May!" Sabine approaches her. "You didn't read the group chat?" Wearily, May answers, "I haven't."

PANEL 4: Sabine recaps what the others are talking about. "The sub skipped the city! Malachi heard that some debtors are hunting him down."

PANEL 5: May hangs her backpack to a chair. Sabine asks her, "You went out with him last weekend, right? Did he say anything about it?"

PANEL 6: "Nope, but that explains a lot," she answers, still bitter about happened back then.

PANEL 1: Lynx texts to May, "Damn, now THAT’S a red flag". She replies, "yeah big time". We see what happened earlier, with May walking back to the restaurant and Marek trying to explain.

PANEL 2: We see May and Marek argue. May explains to Lynx later on, "i told him to get help, he said that he's good and i should believe him"

PANEL 3: We now see May walking away from Marek, leftovers in tow. He's vowing something. May continues to text, "he's gonna win big the next time i see him apparently". Lynx says, "He better be a millionaire by then"

PANEL 4: May is now on a train back home. "i guess i gamble too with every date", she quips. "Lmao OK Socrates", Lynx replies, "You're good now?" She answers, "two hours wasted so not really"

PANEL 5: "Sorry", Lynx consoles, "At least you got leftovers. Small victories". With a slight smile, May replies, "thanks lynx"
