Yesterday I was told that the class I’m scheduled to teach this month, Confronting Oppression & Injustice, is no longer part of our curriculum. This is a required class yet there was no discussion, no faculty vote, just an email saying the class no longer exists. This is what it’s like in Texas now.

I love your optimism.

I was quite dismayed to see otherwise sensible people openly support this regime when I visited last month - these were people who would never have said anything when Obama was president.

I think that deep down, a lot of people across the country, actually like it...

It appears that my employer, Dartmouth, one of the Trump 9, has said no to the compact. All the better given that our president is cited within it. But she’s saying no. Count the small victories when they come.

Pro tip: make a QR code for your guest password and print it on a laminated card that you can hang somewhere. This way, no awkward “what is your wifi”nonsense.

Yes, Apple has password sharing but this way they don’t need to even search for the SID and it works on Android too.
