You know, having ovarian cancer would be easier (though not easy) if there weren't petty problems with paperwork, like a CT scan order being sent and received and processed properly. #cancer #cansky

I don't post often these days, but it's Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. (I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Ovarian Cancer 3 years ago & it recurred a year ago. Thanks to chemo & Lynparza, my nodules are now "too small to measure" so I'm doing well.) If you have these symptoms, see your doctor. #cansky

I'm good. Hope you are well and that the writing goes equally well.

My CA125 (a ovarian cancer marker) has risen 50% - whether due to disease progression or intestinal inflammation from Lynparza side effects is the big question. Until blood work and a CT scan in 2 weeks, like Schrodingers cat, I both do and do not have disease progression. Waiting sucks. #cancer

As someone with an ovarian cancer recurrence, I want to thank you for speaking the truth about Trump's devastating cuts to science and research. Goodbye cure, hello death.

As someone with advanced ovarian cancer, it is slightly horrifying to have one's lethal disease quantified as a market. Then again, a larger market probably equals more chances of a cure.

Here’s what a GOP plan could mean for different Americans next year:

People making under $17,000 a year: lose an average of around $1,000.

People making between ~$17,000 and $51,000: lose an average of around $700.

People in the top 0.1%: gain an average of over $389,000.

Decided (with my doctor) to decrease my dose of Lynparza due to side effects that were compromising my ability to fully enjoy my life.

Of course, now I worry the dosage reduction might mean the drug's not as effective at preventing a second recurrence of my #ovariancancer. UGH!

Democrats need to be much better marketers. We're not the tax and spend party, Republicans are. They don't care about deficit, but Dems actually do something about it.
