These next four years will be insanity. The literal definition of it, and it’s going to be bad for disabled people. Republicans are already questioning the need for ASL interpreters. There’s no telling what they’ll actually be doing with hits complete control of the governmental branches.

The Trump Admin had to be sued to use ASL interpreters during briefings and still never provided them.

So, this isn’t exactly true. I was working for Disability Rights Pennsylvania, part of the protection and advocacy network, and there’s a whole other side to the story people don’t often tell because it’s very ugly. In the early days of Covid, they were floating around Universal DNRs
The early days of Covid showed us that if the government wanted - they could take care of everyone. They could provide a universal basic income, accommodate the needs of disabled people who had been pleading for remote healthcare & other services for years. They could keep us fed, safe and housed
