The follow-up to this call was pretty funny. Driver somehow threw his phone out the window and he turned around and came back for it. Station 21 was laughing while ending the dispatch call and returning to station.

but of course now we have tender ports! So if a ship is tendering it obviously has its engine(s) running. I know some of them just hover in place and don't even drop anchor because that scuffs up the hull. lol.
Curious at how much of a strain shore power puts on NS Power...

A lot of the ships to Halifax use shore power (and I remember being told by Crane Dude on the other site why some ships can't access shore power but I don't remember why), but definitely not all. I haven't noticed lingering smoke as much this year (last year was bad!)

There's been an outside fire call off the 103 at Ingramport (there's only 1 exit/entrance onto the 103 there), and it's been about 1.5hrs that there have been several engines there (and just requested more). I don't know exactly where the fire is, but the staging ground is just off the 103.

Can't believe I did it. I've been saying for 3 yrs I wanted to do an "ice cream a week" at Dairy Bar & this yr I finally did it. Had 22 ice cream sundaes in 22 wks, & 22 different flavours. Not gonna lie, I'm going to feel a bit lost next week. Thanks for following along w my ice cream adventures! 🍨

I had *basil* ice cream. It could ABSOLUTELY be worse than pumpkin spice.

Sat on a bench to eat most of the messy part, then shivered all the way home with the rest. I got the Oh My Gourd (pumpkin spice soft serve, white chocolate pumpkin crumble, and apple pie sauce). The sauce was the best part. Lol. Always a disappointing end to the season because I hate pumpkin spice

It's a great option for new HS grads! Get a hands-on diploma w vocational training, upgrade it with a degree

I can now proudly brag that the very 1st articulation agreements I negotiated are up on our website & available for NSCC students wanting to come to SMU to complete an accelerated degree. Grads from Environmental Engineering Technology - Water Resources diploma can now come to SMU for a BSc or BES!
