Sketched this about 2 yrs ago when I was feeling a certain way, and decided to finished it last Summer.

1 of 2 personal art studies based on one of my favorite artists @/sachinteng.bsky.social. Her use of colors is incredible, and you should run to follow her right this instant.
A study based off the piece “Above Below” by Sachin Teng —- Image shows an anthro striped hyena upside down in the water from its neck up. Its expression is neutral. There are a variety of fish and plants underwater framing the face. The tones of the image are neutral, with most of the submerged objects painted in muted blues, whites, and pinks 🏳️‍⚧️. The hyena itself is painted in darker shades of rust/red/brown. The overall tone of the illustration is anhedonia.
