How far do you think the Felon would go to avoid having his role with Epstein come to light? Are there people in place who could stop him if, for example, he decided to launch nuclear weapons?

Candidates, I want to know your positions in issues. And clear ways you plan to try and address our nation's problems. Making vague statements about "change", never replying to emails or posts, and only asking for $$ is a turnoff.

Interesting that the Oscars is moving to YouTube from legacy media. Another indication that legacy media is dying.

Since Mike Johnson has shut down the House to avoid a vote on the ACA and hearings on Epstein and Jack Smith, can the Dems just meet somewhere and just go on with hearings and telling the people the facts?

Just read that the House GOP are going over Johnson's head to force a vote on the ACA. I see it as a CYA move on their part, as the Senate is not likely to move on extending the ACA.

This time of year really gets me down because of the darkness and coldness. I realize the many festivals celebrated this time of year are to distract you from this fact, but it is still there.

Woke up to an 11 degree morning in the Ozarks. Was amazed at how crisp the atmosphere was. Put out food for the local wildlife. Came in and stoked the wood burning stove. Hope you stay warm today.

Finished washing today. I use a washing wand and a five gallon bucket and hang the washing on a line. I've had automatic washers, but they've all stopped working. I decided doing it by hand makes more sense than buying another washer that quits within a year.

Just got a notice from Social Security. My cost of living "raise" is less than $50 a month.

We need a total shakeup of government. We need to vote for candidates who will represent the People, not corporate interests. We need laws enacted resetting the balance of power, and also making it easier to oust a President who is unfit.

Looking at my bank account today, I've realized that my food budget has increased by about 50%. I feel for families, especially those who don't have much money (which is why I put food in the local pantry today).

Talked with my sister in law yesterday. We're both in our early 70s. Like me, she's been feeling depressed. We talked a bit and decided it was because the uncertainty of health care costs rising.

Here's a wild suggestion. This time of year you can harvest hickory nuts and, depending on where you live, also persimmons. You can use those two ingredients to make a great persimmon bread. Or make hickory nut candy like my Grandma did (sour cream, sugar, and nuts).

I was a public school teacher. I was told that I represented my school WHEREVER I was, and should act in a such a way that my students could use me as a role model. I don't think it's too much to ask our elected officials to follow this standard.

We've started something up in the Ozarks. It's a box at the local school where folks can leave food for their neighbors. Been talking with my friends, and comparing what foods to leave that are gone right away. None of us have that much money, but we have enough to buy food for others.

So bummed. I was due to get minor eye surgery today--and it has snowed. In Arkansas, there is no snow removal, the roads are twisty with steep drops and I have to drive an hour to get to the doctor's office. Will have to pay a fee for cancellation, but it is better than dying on the road.

I really feel sorry for the folks in the ranks of the military right now. Those who followed orders and killed the people on the boats now realize they could face murder charges. And everyone else is likely second-guessing every order they receive.

What amazes me is that it has taken this long for many GOPs to figure out Felon and Company are morally corrupt and are committing war crimes.

Hope all of you are doing what I'm doing--no shopping on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Shopping LOCALLY or from responsible retailers with a social conscience.

A very happy Thanksgiving to all. If you wish to go the traditional route, realize there was no turkey at the first Thanksgiving. Massasoit brought seven deer, and the Pilgrims caught eels. People shared a wooden plate called a trencher, and there were no forks.

About 20 years ago, I was honored to take part in a Somali clan Zkr (ceremony of remembrance) in Minneapolis. The Somali Sufis are NOT terrorists. They are kind people, welcoming to strangers.
