I am once again asking Canadian journalists to ask the most basic-ass question of "on whose land will these be built?" How is it that every other major industry must consider Indigenous rights but with tech it's like "meh".

One of the themes in the replies here is that "At least atheist aren't ruining the country like the Christians." And like, a significant part of the Trump movement comes from GamerGate, which had serious over lap with the mid 2010s capital A Atheism.

And he made a robot to tell him all this is true, every time he asks. So yeah, he's ideologically committed, unhinged, and unable to tell the difference between good and his vision of what is good. Above all else he is isolated and probably lonely. Its sad, silly, and terrifying all once.

Thiel believes the path he's chosen is the only path to a better world. They want to live as techno kings of a fantasy world based on their self serving ideology, and anyone who reminds them that the world they've invented is fake is the enemy, not just of them, but of goodness itself.

I genuinely think that guys like Thiel and Musk are the earliest sufferers of AI psychosis. They're all but explicit inventing a machine to replace human interaction, and that machine is so sycopantic it would make Waylon Smithers blush.

Our museums are filled with objects that were taken from people who were considered not worthy of retaining them. Objects have hidden histories, and it's hard to find the Miniks under the Ahnighitos.
