"Get the Benadryl - Conservatives are allergic to facts!
The opposition may shout, but the numbers speak louder. Canada added 60,000 new jobs last month & wages are up 3.3% year-over-year. Budget 2025 will deliver for young people and all Canadians. Time to face the facts." #cdnpoli

Once again, it's not just the tariffs. If the tariffs ended tomorrow and Jack Daniel's showed back up on Canadian shelves, there'd be no pent-up demand for it. We're talking about a full-blown cultural/consumer shift.

Remember they said they don’t need anything from us? Then why are US States crying for Canadians to come back, travel, why are sales down in many categories, why are companies going bankrupt, we may be small in population to the US, but Canadians put billions in the US economy and we can boycott!!

I often urge law students to be precise when and where they use passive language, and to notice the work it does when used by others (judges, politicians, reporters, and anyone describing actions being done without actors). This is a great, but awful, example.

Classic CBC. "Bill could lead to law enforcement acting more freely in Canada"

How does a US bill lead to this, without Canada actively allowing this? Can we use the active voice? Can we actually use words the way that journalists are supposedly able to?

What is Canada doing?

Annexation, the slow way ..
tindizzy.bsky.social
Yeah. You know it. And they are poised to annex Canada regardless of what the smug, arrogant “never happen” crowd insists.
The U.S. House is pushing H.R. 5518, a bill that would let U.S. officers
"operate on Canadian soil."
That's a sovereignty breach. Period.
Canada is not an American jurisdiction
—We won't allow foreign armed agents to enforce their laws here. If this is a way to force a 51st state situation it's a hard no.
Worse, this bill ties to ICE, an agency accused of wrongful detentions, deaths in custody, and systemic abuse. Against our Charter.
Canada must say no for sovereignty and for human rights 1/2

This current state of #ontario health care is a manufactured crisis that was orchestrated by this Govt which pre-dates the pandemic times and its own crisis.
Healthcare is a public service that must be viewed as an intrinsic human right

I don’t know what ford does with the money he’s given for healthcare besides give it to his buddies in private healthcare I’m sure most of it goes to them. I really can’t understand why anyone votes for this corrupt government
