When trying to sleep with the sound of the storm or when a storm is only in my head, I try to return my mind to the peace of the tent after walking all day. Deep in the forested mountains of the Vercors. Falling asleep to the soundtrack of owls & animals of the night. My own Innisfree.

Gold > $4,000 an ounce. Enjoy guarding your stashes, gold hoarders. I invested my pittance in trail shoes, tents, fly rods & going fishing. But I did carve a duck from a piece of driftwood & covered it in gold leaf. No golden eggs....so far..... #allwashedup

Never booked accommodation, as we walk & sleep in tent. Not clear if I will now have to make a cancelable booking for first night. Fortunately we take our dog, (with her feking expensive AHC instead of old Pet Passport). But we have trained her to savage anyone who says they voted Brexit.

Could well be. I couldn't find a record of a Henry ...... in the trade registers as a Polisher in NI. But I found a record of the cabinet maker, with an address in Lisburn (not Belfast).

Just caught them. Sitting with the door onto the garden open. Slightly breezy but sunny. Then my ear tuned in to a familiar sound. (Actually it was Tilly who tuned in first.) And there they were, overhead. Couldn’t see a thing as the light reflected on my phone screen but it seems we got a glimpse.

How that would warrant arrest is very unclear. I wonder if the police here even understand the boundaries of the bizarre law they’ve been forced to enforce.
