Let's make a deal. 5 shares or 2 donations from this post, I will give participants a special thank you.

Could be a heartfelt comment, could be a recommendation, could be a trip to the Bahamas*, could be a gift... only one way to find out!

*will not be a trip to the Bahamas.

Extremely tempting (though also, likely, tiresomely America-centric) to read this Nobel selection as at least a partial strategic "Now what, smartass?" to Trump/Rubio:
Machado is the leader of Venezeula's opposition, so technically THEIR ally against Maduro.

a lot of people are finally waking up to the importance of the 3rd amendment. As a 3A absolutist, i think it should be illegal for soldiers to be quartered anywhere in this country. they should be camping under the open sky at all times. all military bases and barracks are unconstitutional.

Seriously, I've had to agree with some of the biggest names in scum and villainy in the last few months, but this... this takes the cake.

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

...being just as open and vocal about owning past mistakes as you were when you made them, and making a continued, conscious effort to learn and grow as a person- that's something we should all aspire to. It's a level of decency and integrity that doesn't get enough credit. 2/2

I don't give two tugs about the shitass trolls and what passes for their opinions, and I wish it wasn't good for business or whatever to engage with them. But I do want to say, unironically and no bullshit, this is exactly why I keep supporting you. None of us is perfect, but... 1/2
