This is a great interview in general, but the doomscrolling section cracked me up.

Well, I'm not different in that respect. I also use my phone to keep in touch with people, usually with text messages. I do a lot of doomscrolling. You're a doomscroller. I want to keep up with the latest doom. You gotta, if you wanna sleep at night, you better be doomscrolling. That's what I say. Do you? No, I mean, I'm kidding. It's awful. My husband will be up till 2 in the morning looking at horrible headlines. What you should tell him is, "Go to sleep, and when you wake up in the morning, it will be the same." You don't have to do it at night. So when do you doomscroll? At night.

I notice people are starting to refer to ChatGPT as Chat. Stop that. Chat is my unhinged friend made up of thousands of real voices. Chat is my audience both real and fictional. Chat is all of us. And ChatGPT is wearing our skin like a suit.
