There are things AI (LLM) tools are fantastic for. We have an internal one for filling out RFP questions which is a fucking godsend. Even that still needs to be trust but verify.
The problem is that the vast majority of AI use is to replace thinking and creativity, not rote lookup tasks.

I’m very sorry to announce this to the rest of the country & the world, but a transitional logo has been chosen for the 2034 Salt Lake City Olympics & this is it. Why does it say Utah? We don’t know. Why is the font illegible? Yet another mystery. Did they go ugly on purpose? Again, no idea.

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.
My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.
