What I love about reading is the autonomy. I can engage in whatever content I want, yes-- but more importantly, I can have whatever relationship I want with that content. I can be swept away, I can be distantly observing, I can be in a tug of war with the text. It's playful and free.

A friend asked me how I move forward in learning new skills, and my trick is that even if I don't feel like doing something, I'll take ten minutes out of my day to just figure out the next step. you keep momentum and avoid gulfs where you stop doing something for a week and then fall out of it.

As a librarian I will repost anything that promotes supporting #libraries.
Agreed, support your library. Buy their used books if they have a store too! Mine do!
(And the libraries need our support too. They also are not in it for the money.)
