Today's shout-out goes to the most metal bird in existence, the diminutive shrike. What makes them so metal? They subsist on a diet of small rodents, insects, and snakes and keep spare food from being stolen by carrying it high enough to *impale it on thorns and barbed wire fences*. So metal.
