It’s fine - although unlike LEGACY they have it from start-to-finish, rather than only in the Grid. Would have been more impressive if they hadn’t played the AVATAR trailer beforehand, which looked stellar, obvs.

Again; a lot of young critics have spent precious money from their day job travelling to London to review films for exposure, the least you can do is make an app strong enough to cope with demand ffs.

LFF press app is so useless. You log in at 8am when tickets go live, the app freezes so you refresh, then close and re-open because it endlessly loads, then when you hit ‘book’ and go to your bookings they’re not there. Shambles.

Unsure exactly how much of the Reddit Atheisting in this is played ironically, but I do think under all the showmanship there’s an honest, earnest core that’s incredibly difficult to be cynical about.

Also, “The third-best Knives Out” is still preferable to everything else produced by Netflix.

Enjoyed THE SMASHING MACHINE well enough (you get a Safdie to shoot that much 16mm and I’m on board already), but *christ* what I would give for one of these biopics to find something to do with their female lead in the third act. Emily Blunt is running rings around everyone and then just vanishes!!
