Back to vintage postcards to two English stars of the 1930s and 40s. George Formby passed away in 1961 but his legacy was still writ large in the 70s on UK telly as you would often see clips of him and tributes.
Arthur Askey was often seen on tv in the 70s too with programmes such as Jokers Wild.

Back to vintage postcards with Gordon Jackson and his wife Rona Anderson. Film wise for Gordon, favourites would be Whisky Galore! and the Great Escape as well as his TV stints in Upstairs, Downstairs & the Professionals.
Rona was in Floodtide and the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie with her husband.

Back to vintage postcards. Two of Ginger Rogers. Although we think of her as Fred Astaire's main partner, she made a host of other films too. She won the Oscar for 1940's Kitty Foyle.
She was great in comedies too such as Roxie Hart, Monkey Business and Vivacious Lady among others.
