Final postcards of the day. Helensburgh born Jack Buchanan became a star on stage in the West End and then Broadway in the late 20s, early 30s. He was also prolific in British films but perhaps the pinnacle of his career was opposite Fred Astaire in The Band Wagon from 1953.

Googie Withers first major hit was the Loves of Joanna Godden & was also in Miranda. A lot of poeple will recall her in the 70s prison drama 'Within These Walls' too.
Jeremy Spenser was a child actor in Anna Karenina & Kind Hearts & Coronets. Both appeared together in the Devil on Horseback (1954).

Back to vintage postcards. Carole Lombard & Clark Gable only made the one film together. 1932's No Man of Her Own. Lombard married William Powell in 1931 & divorced in 1933. She married Gable in 1939 but sadly she died in a plane crash in 1942. Gable was buried next to her upon his death in 1960.

I do ponder about getting a set like this printed. However, I would do it incorporating some of the label like below. I just don't know if there's a market for them. If any #weekendsingles crew or indeed anybody else is interested let me know. In meantime post some of your own.

Day 222 of traipsing through my music and movie postcards as always we start with music. Almost a perfect quartet. Need to find another with reels instead of the Kiss one.

Final postcards of the day. Steve Cochran and Joan Crawford. I have to be honest anytime I hear Joan's name the Blue Oyster Cult song named after her comes to mind.
Cochran appeared with Joan in the 1950 film 'The Damned Don't Cry'. Steve was also in The Best Years of Our Lives and White Heat.

Back to vintage postcards. Frances Dee & Joel McCrea met on the set of 1933's The Silver Cord & married in October that year. They were together until his death in 1990.
Frances had parts in Little Women (1933) & Becky Sharp. Joel was mainly in Westerns with 'Ride the High Country' my favourite.
