It’s been a while, so I decided to go back to my roots. Took in some scenery, did a couple of runs and pulled in more than I expected :) #StarCitizen #VirtualPhotography

“It’s not just about what will happen if they succeed in developing superintelligence,” says a decade-long veteran in Amazon’s entertainment business. “What we’re trying to say is, look, the costs we’re paying now aren’t worth it. We are in the few remaining years to avoid catastrophic warming.”
Amazon Workers Issue Warning About Company’s ‘All-Costs-Justified’ Approach to AI Development
Amazon Employees for Climate Justice says that over 1,000 workers have signed a petition raising “serious concerns” about the company’s “aggressive rollout” of artificial intelligence tools.

Doug Ford *falsely claiming* he has the power to audit his enemies when he doesn’t actually have that power is still a news story

But it’s kind of a different story than one uncritically accepting the premise that the Premier of Ontario can order the federal government to audit his enemies

YES, can someone *please* ask these mob-lite populists some real questions? And which left-wing radical groups are we talking about?

In case you missed this, the BBC edited a historian's speech about Trump to remove the claim that he's "the most openly corrupt president in US history." This came after Trump had threatened a $1 billion lawsuit.

Elite capitulation continues.

Read all about it here:

Trump Angrily Threatened to Sue BBC. Then Things Took a Darker Turn.
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

Took a rented Clipper on a quick mission, it was fine though I think I’d sink some effort into upgrading the components. I think the benefits of it aren’t so much in ship-to-ship combat but I didn’t have time to really explore them. Seems really useful but the San’tok.Yai was much more fun to fly.

The 'Sunshine List' shows salaries in the Premier's Office cost taxpayers at least $7M. PC gov docs show a cost of only $2M.

Asteroid 2022 RD₂ may become a mini-moon not once, but three times in 2043–2044. This may not exactly look like an orbit, But during each capture, if the Sun suddenly vanished, RD₂ would remain gravitationally bound to Earth indefinitely. iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3...

There will be a moment of silence for Colleen Jones ahead of tonight's women's draw at the Olympic Curling Trials.

Many of her family members, former teammates and friends will be here.

High emotion in her hometown and home province.

This is so funny because recipes can literally already be copied and reposted with no attribution or copyright. All AI does here is add statistical noise and make the stolen content useless. AI can’t even steal content without fucking it up.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

The capacity for AI to royally fuck everything up is essentially limited only by our electricity supply (which AI is also fucking up)
