Off to Paradice Board Game Store to paint with loads of people and pretend to know what I'm talking about! It's going to be lovely.
Well, one is published by a miniatures company with the goal to sell tank models, the other is published by a rules publishing company. It's hard to compare the two to begin with even though they cover the same topic (and in a not dissimilar fashion).
It's a consistently really good show, isn't it.
While I'm generally all for high-and-mighty stances, having a go at Frankenstein/Del Toro does sound surprsing. Watching the video right now.
One of my all-time favourite bits is from his review of the latest(?) Chucky film, spelling out the switch from traditional consumerism to subscription models several industries love so much. youtu.be/0yMw2CqXsTg?...

Ha, that's funny. I don't follow many youtubers, but his stuff I used to follow pretty religiously for a good while. Less so now, but I often enjoyed his views on films (and all sorts of other things he does; possibly even more than the film stuff. It depends.).
So sorry to hear this. Condolences. Take your time, we're not going anywhere.
Organizers of the latter just announced Brian Krause, famous for being an angel and for being ship-wrecked with Milla Jovovich, being one of the guests. Finally a guest star i know. :P
November's right around the corner, featuring some events I'll be at: Late Fall in Salzburg on the 15th, which will be lovely, and - different, but equally lovely - Vienna Comic Con on the 22nd/23rd.
Up the Signal! Not sure why Whatsapp is even in use at this point.
That is one class project.
2 German S-boats use the Hearty Knoll light vessel as cover to approach an East Coast convoy. I've just finished my convoy mini-campaign with mixed results: Of 12 freighters, 4 were sunk by the E-boats and one by a mine. One of the freighters was an easy target because she had run aground... 1/3
Dark, I assume. wet, and brainmatter-y.
:D Reminds me of that joke in Community in which Shirley states she watched an in-flight cut of Pulp Fiction: "Yes, I saw it on the airplane, it's cute. It's a 30 minute film about a group of friends who like cheeseburgers, dancing and the Bible."
I feel obligated to mention that I'm not German; I just suffer their private tv (and enjoy bits of their public tv, but it's OK, we have a pact or something). 😁

But yeah, that experience was something else. According to Schnittberichte.com the version I watched has 8 minutes and 6 seconds cut out.
...and since they most likely cut his death scene too, you never quite know what the guy's deal is. :D His partner is introduced by walking into the police station thing, a hunched-over man walking away from her....
It's got all the violence cut from the film, which in the case of Demolition man means that there are many scenes which make no sense. Even though I watched that film at least three times before, sometimes I had no idea where in the plot we were or where we were geographically within the film.
Love Demolition Man. Great fun, and it features the most tolerable version of Rob Schneider.

But I've had a horrifying experience with it last year: Caught a version on tv which has been cut down by German private TV to a kids-friendly version of the film.

i do that. Too scared to do it with parcels to the US or UK though; lest they might be blown up or something. :S
Lovely! What do you think of the FiB Ancients?
