Orban calling Bart De Wever "the hero of the day" in front of other Flemish Far-right leaders Tom Van Grieken and Gerolf Annemans of the Vlaams Belang who answer, embarrassed, "Don't exaggerate"...
A reminder that Bart De Wever's N-VA is a full-fledged member and an ally of the 🇪🇺 Far-right 🤷

€85 billion for 9.9 GW is €8,600 per kW. But that excludes financing cost during the lengthy construction. That will be subsidised by the French state in this case, but it obscures the comparison with other power generation technologies.

Oh, and final investment decision is only due next year.

Policy works.

How do we know? Because emissions go up when the policy is removed (transport in this case).

[Noting, biofuels are allocated zero emissions in GHG emission reporting, on the assumption emissions are captured in LULUCF]

ExxonMobil paid nearly five times as much tax to the U.A.E as to the U.S. in 2023 and 2024.
As Exxon tries to use the military we've paid to get a hold of Venezuela's oil consider this:

ExxonMobil, for example, extracts 31 percent of its global oil and gas domestically, but owes only 10 percent of its total taxes in the U.S.

The contrast with China is also interesting. Coal generation is also down so far this year in China, but electricity demand is still growing strongly.

An interesting snippet of information...

Electricity generation from coal in India has dropped in the first 10 months of 2025, with renewables covering for all the growth in electricity use.

Noting, growth in electricity use is rather low...
