My Dad read The Hobbit and other Tolkien works to my siblings and me while growing up. Finding his 1978 LOTR calendar among his treasures was an unexpected joy!

For what’s supposed to be a 2.5 hour drive, it took seven hours to get to NYC and just north of eight hours to get home. But it was a well spent and needed holiday weekend there. Back to the silly emails and Teams meetings in the morning.

I’m no city girl, but getting to fall asleep to this view is worth the near 7-hour cluster jam of a ride it took to get here.
