I turned 61 on Saturday and during my lifetime have never been without health insurance. I’ve been self employed since 2006 and when ACA came around it was an answer to a prayer for me S insurance became more expensive. It’s allowed me 2 get testing which found potential cancer it’s a gift-RENEW

We have a broken healthcare system that must be fixed, but the solution in the short-term isn't to deny people the ACA tax credits that they rely on.
We must extend the subsidies so people aren't kicked off their healthcare next month, *and* we need Medicare for All.

When it comes to saving the ACA tax credits, we are way past the deadline—we are in overtime.

This is where we are?? I just did a quick call to my healthcare providers to see if they would take a non insurance payment and how to navigate it. Also called my Mammogram center who has urged me not to miss appointments and there are programs in place to assist if it comes to it..it’s grim

So. ACA has saved my life twice now with findings on mamogram and now my lifetime score is over 50% and high risk so without proper screenings who knows what will happen.. Congress get your collected heads out of Trump’s ass and do your JOB and extend ACA!!

I haven’t changed my insurance plan level of Silver and I’m praying that ACA gets extended and the increased amount w/subsidies is what I will have to pay but without as a self employed person I would need to go without this is an unacceptable situation to be in and it’s paramount they extend

I'm not sure how to say this any more simply. ACA premium tax credits are for people, not insurer. People receiving a tax credit can use it to buy any plan in the ACA marketplace. As an administrative mechanism, the government then forwards the tax credit to the chosen insurer.
