it's legit inspiring seeing more and more people offer ways to educate + help others more effectively than what society offers to you. it makes me think for a moment that even when your life is at rock bottom, a stranger out there struggling like you could be coming up w smth to make it a lil easier

also the next guy will have to do it. and the next guy. basically you have created the translation equivalent of a curse upon your bloodline
this is more translation adjacent but if as translator or adapter you write a particular speech quirk for a major character you will have to continue writing every single line of theirs that way for the entire rest of the thing. plan accordingly
To my fellow translators: what do you wish someone had taught you about translation (whether the act or translation or having a freelance job) that you had to learn by yourself?
