Local libraries often have some great movie rentals available if folks want to recreate the experience. Might start doing that with the kids as they get older actually. Unless we fuck that up too somehow...

Video stores were so good to us, we really lost something when we let Netflix murder the industry. My college still had Family Video while I was there, and it was great. Movie rental promos and cheap video games were fantastic. Looks like COVID was the final straw though 🥲

Unfortunately anything that's Norse related is immediately at least a little suspect until proven otherwise nowadays. Friends invited my wife and I to a local meadery that's Viking based and my head was on a swivel for signs of being problematic.

Can report back from the Charlotte No Kings that "free Palestine" is now, if not the normie lib position, then at least fully accepted among the normie libs. Lots of signs and flags scattered about, no apparent drama at all.
