FIGHTING BACK: Virginia House Speaker Don Scott said Trump was "bullying" other states to redraw their congressional maps, causing VA to do the same.

"We didn't want to have to do this. This was done because Trump told Texas, Indiana, North Carolina —- our neighbors -- to rig their elections."
Virginia Democrats propose redrawing maps to get four new seats
Virginia House of Delegates Speaker Don Scott outlined the state's redistricting plans amid other states' efforts to make maps more favorable to Democrats or Republicans.

Thank you, Federalist Society, for giving us a bench of jurists who believe that the emanations of 1789 have a greater claim to law than the laws passed by Congress and signed by the president.

the elevation of “separation of powers” as the paramount value of the constitution is just rhetorical justification for presidential dictatorship, since that is what you have when the legislative branch cannot constrain the exercise of executive power through law.
In her dissent, Judge Pan says the emerging view of executive power by Trump and his backers in the courts "concentrates excessive power in the President and thus paves the way to autocracy." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

I really just cannot get over this. Jeffries has to go. If you have any hope for the Democrat party, remove Jeffries from his position.
Corporate Dem Rep Henry Cuellar & his wife were indicted in March 2024 for accepting hundreds of thousands in foreign bribes.

Trump just pardoned them.

Hakeem Jeffries is praising Trump’s decision as “exactly the right outcome” & praising Cuellar as “a beloved member of the House.”

Ridiculous.😐

It's incumbent on journalists interviewing GOP who support Trump's extrajudicial killings in the Caribbean to ask them if they've ever used cocaine or been in the presence of someone who was doing so. Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

The evidence of corporate consolidation is everywhere.

It means more power for them and less freedom for you.
Netflix's $83 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery would mean more corporate consolidation.

Netflix, by far the #1 streamer, would take over HBO Max, the #3 streaming service.

This giant merger could violate antitrust law and hurt consumers.
