“I must admit, Emma dear, I’m quite impressed with your skill. Now, let’s get serious, shall we?” His grin grew sinister as he stepped forward, and Emma had to quell the rising desire to jump his bony ass right then and there. Adrenaline and oxytocin pumped through her system from both the exercise and the compliment- it thrilled her to receive his praise. The combination of chemicals coursing through her veins was intoxicating- she felt so free! She felt his aura, along with the telltale breeze of something flying towards her and ducked just in time to miss the clawed hand swiping at her throat. Alastor appeared in pieces as he weaved through shadow, and with each new attack Emma’s body thrummed with pleasure. Swipe, miss, kick, another miss- her speed was something to be envied. He was able to get two strikes in as they traded blows and danced around each other, but the fact that she wasn’t sent flying each time told Emma he was keeping his hits soft. A hand formed from shadow and sliced a thin line across her throat and she couldn’t help the moan that poured from her lips, her body buzzing with arousal and adrenaline. “God, you’re so sexy when you’re trying to kill me.” Emma’s words caused the demon attacking to chuckle as he preened under the compliment, and she used his voice to find and make a swipe for his throat, missing by a hair’s breadth as he disappeared once more. Where would he appear next? Emma did her best to concentrate on his flashing aura as he moved. “The sentiment is very much a mutual one, my Vixen.” The low rumble of his whispered response in her ear had her brain short circuiting. In a flash he was gone again, and Emma tried to refocus on the feel of his aura, pausing when she couldn’t sense it. ‘Shit, now that’s impressive.’ He wasn’t lying when he’d said it was time to get serious. She felt a claw run sensually up her spine, and she froze at the deep demonic voice accompanying the touch. … “Oh, you know…” Her smile turned wicked as she turned in his arms and pressed her body into his. He groaned as he gazed down at her, his hands sliding down her back and squeezing her hips to pull her closer. That’s when Emma made her move, lifting her arms to wrap around his shoulders and tilting her chin in ask of a kiss he moved to grant. “Make love, not war.” She watched in twisted delight as those coral eyes widened in shock. A dark patch spread across the now torn fabric that covered his throat, the fresh cut that peeked through bleeding steadily. He seemed frozen in place, and Emma took full advantage, pulling him down to lick at the wound she’d created. “Fuck…” “Oh yeah?” Her head cocked and she grinned up at her contorting lover as he processed the fact that his own lover had essentially just killed him. “Good fuck, or bad fuck?” Those beautiful eyes blazed down at her as he answered. “Good… Very good, my Vixen.” His soft words filled her heart with such joy, and she leaned back in to lick the trickle of blood escaping the small cut. “I have a rather… unorthodox request of you, my love, but only if you want to… I don’t want to make you uncomfortable in any-“ She’d pulled him into a soft kiss, hoping to set him at ease- he was just so cute when he got all nervous to ask for anything. Rubbing her nose against his, Emma spoke softly. “What is it you desire, my heart?” Her words had him blushing like a strawberry and she grew very curious. What would have him this red? “Actually, that’s precisely what I desire, mon cœur. I want to give you my heart…” ‘Oh… Oooohhh…’ Emma’s eyes widened and her heart skipped a beat. “Alastor…” His beautiful eyes glowed down at her, nervous and so filled with love. How could such an exquisite creature exist? He was beautiful… “Oh, my sweet love…” She pet his hair and stroked his cheek, down his bloody … “Would you like me to use a knife, or my claws, darling?” Her legs settled to straddle him as she peppered kisses along his jawline. “Or perhaps…” She rose to nip at a drooping ear before sitting back on his lap to grin up at him. “My fangs?” Emma found him so fascinating- as wanton as the demon was acting, his desire certainly wasn’t for sex at the moment; she’d definitely feel it if it was. No, her darling was acting so amorously in need of her violence. “However my goddess wishes to accept her sacrifice,” he sighed out, that love struck expression covering his features. Emma felt high as she moved to undo his bow tie, pulling it off and letting it fall unceremoniously to the ground. Next came the buttons of his coat, his shirt, and undershirt. He simply stared at her face and ran his fingers through her soft hair as she made slow work of his clothing. It was as if he was expecting her to disappear if he looked away, and she leaned forward to kiss him gently, scratching lightly down the fur of his chest. “I love you, Alastor… And I shall love you still when you wake,” Emma whispered against his lips, before plunging her hand claws-first into his skin, just under the ribs. That’s when she heard him scream for the first time. It was primal, eerie and oh so sweet to her alert ears. She placed her other hand behind his head and helped him lay down as he panted, sinking her hand under his diaphragm as she felt for the apex of his heart. His breath was short and quick as he watched her killing him. Her fingers wrapped gently around his racing heart, and Emma smiled sweetly at her love, pressing one last soft kiss to his quivering lips before twisting and ripping his heart away from him. He gave one last mixed scream, a hint of his mating call under the surface as she felt his cock lurch under her. An interesting reaction, but not unheard of, especially for masochists. She gave Alastor a heated stare as she leane… “How are you feeling, my dearest?” Lovely thick lashes fluttered open to reveal those gorgeous crimson orbs and Emma couldn’t help the buttery smile that lit her face. Her love was just so cute when his ears drooped like that. A clawed hand reached to bring her in for a soft kiss, and she sighed against his warming lips. When they parted, he was staring at her with such romance she laid back against him and nuzzled under his chin the way he liked. “I’m positively floating, my darling,” he sighed out and wrapped his arms around her, nuzzling her back. “Thank you so much, mon cœur. You’ve made me feel so splendidly euphoric.” His soft words had Emma’s heart soaring with the hellcrows- how could this be anything but pure bliss? “I think we should spar more often in the future, even after this extermination. I believe I quite enjoy this side of you,” he chuckled to himself as he pet her hair, and she joined him. “Oh I very much agree, my dearest mate. I think it’s made Top 5 of my ‘Alastor activities’ list.” Her tease had Alastor’s arms tightening. “Say it again…” There was no need for him to say which word to repeat, and Emma didn’t hesitate. Pressing a hand over his fresh racing heart to lift herself and look down at him, love shining in her crimson gaze. “My darling…” she pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. “Dearest…” next to his jaw. “Perfect…” his nose. “Mate.” Finally his lips. Her darling gave a happy bleat against her lips and she couldn’t help the chuckle that escaped at his adorable display. He was such a softie. “You know, I’d been contemplating asking to call you my wife, but when you call me mate, that feels so much better…” Emma’s breath caught before she settled. He wouldn’t try to own her- he’d never even shown the typical jealousy when she brought up her work. He’d just said it himself, mate sounded better to him. “I suppose it was a good idea having brunch. I do believe we’ve talked the day away,” Alastor declared as he walked Vixen home. The day had been one of the most pleasant he’d had in some time, spent drinking and gabbing with the two women. It was easy to be around Vixen; to talk with her and relax. She had an air of confident nonchalance about her, as though nothing in the underworld could bother her. He’d found that he quite enjoyed her attentions, catching her staring several times, brilliant ruby hearts meeting his own gaze. “Ah, but what wonderful company!” Vixen skipped a few steps, “I can’t remember the last time I had such fun! Thank you for the lovely day, and the coffee.” She held the small offering up in emphasis, and he felt his chest swell in response. The sensation was intriguing- familiar, yet novel. When they reached her home, he was surprised and impressed to discover that, within the blown out, dilapidated building, she’d created a dimensional abode that looked quite comfortable. A bit modern for his tastes, but at least it wasn’t rundown like it had first appeared. What would he have done if it had been? No matter. “Would you like to come in?” Vixen cocked her head in question, and he felt his heart quicken. She was only inviting him in. She wouldn’t be expecting intimacy right away, would she? Perhaps she would settle for a compromise. With a subtle breath, Alastor spoke, “I would love to darling, but I think I should return to the hotel.” Stepping closer, he enjoyed the way her eyes widened ever so slightly at his nearness. Time to test himself. “May I kiss you, my Vixen?” A compromise she eagerly accepted, stepping closer to wrap her arms around his torso. He was mildly surprised that he didn’t hate the feeling. Though still not wholly comfortable with being touched, Alastor took a moment to gauge his reaction before leaning his he… This was… not unpleasant. Vixen sighed into the kiss and pressed herself closer, and that’s when he felt the jolt of heat. He wanted more. Thankfully Vixen didn’t try to put her tongue in his mouth, dragging those luscious obsidian lips over his in a sensual dance that left him feeling lightheaded. They stayed there like that, and Alastor was surprised that he didn’t want to pull away. He truly did want to go inside and explore these new sensations- what else would he be able to enjoy with her? ‘Let’s not put the cart before the horse, old boy.’ His mind began clearing, and he pulled away, immediately wishing to go back. Back to those beautiful lips. His heart was racing, and he noticed an electric thrill shoot through him when he opened his heavy lids to gaze at his disheveled sweetheart. She looked positively ravishing. ‘We should go in,’ he heard his shade chirp amorously from within, and he was extraordinarily tempted to do so. “Goodnight, Emma,” his words came softer than he’d planned, a light breathy tone that left him a bit embarrassed. Vixen was apparently experiencing similar feelings, a dreamy smile dancing on those lovely lips. “Goodnight, Alastor,” she replied, leaning on the door frame to watch him walk away. At that he forced himself to turn around and dip into his shadows to leave. Annoyingly, his shade split to wave goodbye, shouting that he’d do better next time. It was a good thing other demons couldn’t understand the little imp. How embarrassing. When finally he made it home, he slithered straight under his door and formed in his room. Bringing his hand up to gingerly place at his chest, he felt the pounding of his heart and tried to calm it, rubbing at the unfamiliar ache. He couldn’t believe he’d actually willingly, enthusiastically asked another demon to be his sweetheart. His mama would be falling to pieces in joy. Walking over to an armchair, Alastor conjured up a notebook and pen, seating himself and opening to the first page as he contemplated his reactions and symptoms. As terrifying as the prospect of wanting a romance was, Alastor found himself interested and excited to learn something new after all these years. When finished writing his thoughts, Alastor flipped the notebook closed and replaced his pen with a marker. He took a moment to ponder before settling on a title. There. That was good enough. Standing, he shimmied the notebook between a couple of hardbacks and decided to wander the hallways, spooking any unassuming passersby as he went. Today had been just lovely. Unassuming, the notebook sat in wait for the next scribbling. The title? ‘Experiments in Romance’.

Her day was going rather well, having had a hefty dinner with Ethel and a few other friends. She bid the girls farewell and turned towards her home, spotting her favorite obsession making his way down the lane. She tried to stare as subtly as she could, hoping not to alert the man to her attention. He always seemed so pleasant when she watched him, never having had the pleasure of seeing his demonic form. She hoped one day she could have a live performance of his broadcast, imagining what he’d look like unhinged. She’d heard the sadistic glee in his voice when he spouted off his many reasons of disdain for his victims as they cried and screamed in the background. It had been years since he’d put on one of those shows though. He had at least begun broadcasting again, but they had changed direction to decidedly less violent shows. She blinked when he disappeared into shadow before appearing directly in front of her. She almost ran straight into him and tried to catch herself before his hand shot out to help steady her, his permanent grin widening when their eyes connected. “Good evening, my dear! I was hoping I’d run into you. Our dear friend Angel Dust showed me your work on the picture show- what a performance!” Emma willed her mouth to work, imitating a fish out of water. The radio demon was actively seeking her out and complimenting her on her performance in a porno. Sure, there wasn’t any full on sex but what the fuck? Was this really happening? “Thank you, sir. I’m honored you enjoyed the show” she smiled demurely, before realizing what he’d said. “Wait, you know Angel?” That must mean Alastor was the person Angel had mentioned. No fucking way! The tall demon nodded enthusiastically. “Yes indeedy! Our dear Angel is staying at the hotel I’m hosting now. Perhaps you’ve heard of it? The Hazbin Hotel.” Oh, that commercial she remembered seeing a few weeks back. Emma tried to think of a reply, her… “I would love to! I must confess I’ve been a fan of yours since your debut. I tend to be a late sleeper though, so what do you say to brunch?” Her heart was pounding in her ears, and she just knew her face was probably as red as her ears. “Brunch would be lovely, dear. Would you prefer to meet somewhere or may I escort you?” Fuck, this man was doing things to her. “Well, if you wouldn’t be opposed, I would love to see this Hazbin Hotel you speak of. Perhaps I escort you to brunch and you escort me home afterwards?” Emma smiled up at the tall demon- he seemed to enjoy her idea. “Fantastic! What time would work best for you? Say around 11:30? Or perhaps something later?” He seemed so considerate, and she began to feel the warning bells, but brushed them off for now. ‘He hasn’t given us any reason to distrust him’… yet. But she knew, just as with Rosie, one must be cautious with how they tread with the radio demon. “11:30 it is,” she replied, her smile still in place and friendly. Could he tell she was utterly besotted? Probably. She hoped not, for her pride’s sake. With the meeting time confirmed and a few instructions to the hotel, she bid Alastor farewell and continued her way home. She couldn’t wait for their date! ‘Not a date. Just two people who appreciate the other’s work. Totally normal, not romantic in any fashion,’ she did her best to temper her emotions. When she arrived home, she couldn’t help but let out excited yelps, her tail wagging as she danced into her bedroom. She decided to save her shower for the morning and zapped herself into some pajamas before flopping into bed and tried to fall asleep. With all this excitement, the night would feel far too long. Eventually she fell into a restless sleep, her dreams conjuring images of seduction and fire.

People who argue "who cares it's just for kids" all I can say is fuck right off. Kids deserve thoughtful, well-made movies that challenge them just as much as adults do. Kids aren't stupid, and they remember how movies affect them basically forever.
