Went to see Leeds Playhouse's production of To Kill A Mockingbird this evening. Astonishingly pertinent.

Teachers are so often a glue that holds society together.

It's really heartening that so many members of the public donated to save this work. Can't wait for it to be on display soon for everyone to enjoy!

#Teachers! June 17, join us for this summer’s #Educator Conference, “Learning from the Land”! Through workshops, outdoor experiences, and interdisciplinary sessions, educators will engage in topics like cultural connection, native plant conservation, place-based education, and more: bit.ly/SEC0617
Being from Cumbria, most locals have wee cars that are far more practical for the narrow roads. SUVs make it so much harder, particularly those on holiday who aren't used to the narrow roads, and don't tuck in. Older versions of Fiat Panda 4x4 are very popular in Cumbria as a smaller 4 wheel drive.

Nicely done
I’ve had to chop this up slightly to compensate for Bluesky’s limitations, but this has been on my mind a lot lately and I thought it needed sharing again

A beautiful crisp day in the Yorkshire Dales. Magical icy falls, beautiful snowy fells and a gorgeous sunset over a frozen tarn. Now to warm up in front of the fire in the pub with some good food and beer!
A magical start to the New Year up in Fife seeing the aurora borealis. Happy New Year!

Happy Winter Solstice to all in the northern hemisphere.

The turn of the year's tide, a pivot-point, a day of hope—when the dark stops rising & after which the Sun begins its slow climb back.
A day I celebrate more than Christmas or New Year.

Fiat lux!

Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified 🥳
A fab start to the #OurYear educators conference with @hywelroberts.bsky.social and key note speaker local lad and world-class artist Jason Wilsher-Mills. Excited for the day ahead and to launch place-based Wakefield Curriculum in partnership with local cultural organisations and teachers

Great to welcome Jason, a Wakefield lad, and world-renowned artist, to our #Arts conference today. #OurYear #Edusky
Had a great time at Castleford Academy this week testing out our outreach sculpture workshop inspired by Barbara Hepworth. Lots of experimentation and collaboration from the students to explore the process of 2D-3D and create sculptural work.
Dreaming of the warmth of last weeks sun in the Yorkshire Dales. I need to remember to keep getting out and enjoying it despite the cold setting in!
Some surreal projections at The Hepworth Wakefield this evening for Light Up. I'm sure David Chipperfield's intention was to design the perfect building for projection!
I've yet to do it ... the blank white page is too much pressure to make a mark on 😂
