Says the man who thinks that both a release clause trigger and Merino with one year left on his contract is great deals.

LOL
I’ve already seen “we need an attacker and we’re bringing in another DM” so the discourse is still going strong, ladies and gentlemen

@georgev-afc.bsky.social I was going to ask for a scouted episode on Kabia but saw that you just did, thanks!

Do you count on doing one on Quentin Timber? Interesting imo.

Newcastle (0-1)
Fulham (1-1)
Everton (0-0)
Brighton (1-1)

Partey RB. Same feel. Not even about individual performance. He’s just not a RB. It zaps his best skill (turning and playing forward into the pocket) and fucks up all the dynamics.

Instead of asking the question about Mikel getting the sack, I tried to answer about the reasons why he only has one trophy..

From the beginning, that angle allows you a bit more freedom.

Have a read if you’re interested! open.substack.com/pub/yvanbeca...

“There's always a fine line between being stubborn and stupid but if you give up too quickly in life you do nothing well.

Persistence is an underrated quality. If you look at people who are successful, most of them have a consistent determination to do what they want.”

Blaming a different AFC player every week is the clearest sign of a systemic issue rather than an individual one.

Are we now envying Bournemouth for their football?

The aim of any collective system is to promote individuals singularity, not to restrict it.

The Arsenal clock is running slow.

In football, stats have been used for players analysis partly to mitigate financial risks.

Is cultural heritage similarly used by all football actors (clubs, agents, etc.) as a tool to predict a player’s future success at a given club?

A 🧵on that topic👇

I’m watching this Newcastle-Liverpool game and the referee decisions are very telling.

How can one not see the clear corruption and one team being favoured?

Arsenal truly need to be exceptional to get a title in this PL.
Fortunately, teams around are far from being perfect.

Silver lining.

The blueprint of an Arteta's success signing lies in the adaptability and mentality of a player.

Bare that in mind whenever there is a transfer rumour. There is not point of speculation of any player but rather see if it fits Arteta’s idea of a player.

I can’t wait to have Nwaneri starting a couple of games in a row as he is surrounded by incredible players.

The teams needs it but more importantly the manager needs it. It’s time for Arteta to embrace adversity and Wenger’s legacy.

The personality of our CF will be more important than anything else, Kai being the perfect example.

This is why we are waiting for Isak to be available and not going for Osimhen. “Ego-less 9”

As there was a Wenger player type of player, there is now an Arteta type of player.

@scottjwillis.bsky.social Hi!

Quick question : have you ever tried to translate players actual stats to a possible future team taking into account current teams stats vs possible team?

Imo, individual stats are heavily affected by current team and stats could be misleading in that sense.

This is the reason why pundits and PGMOL were silent.

They leaked this 2nd video to bury him for good, making corruption an INDIVIDUAL problem and not a group one.

Remember they were aware of the 1st video. Who would now believe a drug addict anyway?

Very smart bunch!

If a player succeeds at la Real or Basque country, he has passed the ego/mentality test as he puts the team first (recognising and contributing to smth bigger).

I see this as a pre-requisite to be Arteta’s player. We often speak about player’s quality but mentality is even more important to Mikel.
Real Sociedad's director of football Roberto Olabe will leave at the end of the season, the Basque side have confirmed. He will remain at the club until the end of the season. Olabe has been critical in making La Real a perennial top four contender in Spain, recruiting stars like Odegaard and Isak.
