I send a little something to Block Club and this year I'm budgeting for the Sun-Times just so I can help them get a new spot for the donation page. I love Neil Steinberg as a writer, but I don't need to see his pitch anymore. The kids at Unraveled and the Triibe really deserve all the monies.

It appears there were more people protesting Trump outside his venue in Iowa than there were to hear him speak inside the venue…in Iowa.

Don’t fall for Trump’s efforts to convince the public he’s changing course on immigration. It’s meant to distract and stop the protests. Nothing more. joycevance.substack.com/p/ice-gettin...

Moneybags Homan. Next man up.
The Trump administration is painting Border Czar Tom Homan as a less extreme and more professional alternative to the leadership of the recently removed Border Patrol head, Greg Bovino, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

But his record tells a much different story.
Tom Homan is supposed to fix Trump's Minnesota crisis. His record raises serious questions.
The White House border czar is no moderate.

This is why we travel.
So Greg Bovino is back to his post at USBP in El Centro. There are many lovely hardworking Americans in El Centro but at a place to be it is not to everyone’s taste. I had a hearing in El Centro and drove there the night before because you can’t get there in the morning…../1

People on the streets in Minneapolis and Chicago and LA and the Portlands MN and OR and many other cities are winning the battle to save Democracy. My main worry now is that the Vichy Dems (Schumer, Durbin, Jeffries) will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

You paint a pretty picture my frent. Although this seems more like a Tom Waits song or Sam Shepard play than a visit to court.

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him.

“When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

Every time I hear a Dem say we can get the Repukes to work with us, I want to take them out back and beat them silly with their own stupidity.

It's not quite the most pressing issue at the moment, but the American people absolutely have a right to know the names of the federal officials who shot and killed a man peacefully protesting, who was on his knees, prone in the street when they shot him in the back.

It's nice that Chris Murphy will say this on a podcast and all, but if he's not actively working to throw out the Vichy Dems like Durbin and Schumer, it will be all for naught. He can have a nice told-you-so moment when the Dems flush the midterms down the toilet, but not much else.
Sen Chris Murphy warns Dems:

"If people don’t see us fighting on something as existential as whether we condone the federal government murdering our own citizens, there will be a mass withdrawal from politics altogether."

On the pod, Murphy lays it all out so well:

Schumer correctly takes the hit for the gutless Dems, but the shocking thing is that there is not a single senator with enough spine to tell him his time is past and lead a revolt.
